Our Story
God is at work in the New Horizon United Methodist Church! This congregation is a wonderfully healthy, energized, and Spirit-filled congregation. We strive to live our invitation that “We have a place for you,” by making everyone feel welcome. We live a contagious faith and genuine care for one another. Even first-time visitors often remark that this church “feels like home” from the moment you walk in the door.
Perhaps the most unique trait of this church is that we have the genuine depth of relationships you can find in any traditional little country church, but also have a relaxed atmosphere and a beautiful handicapped accessible building.
Most of all, the element that makes this place so unique and special is God’s presence among us. God is working powerfully through all the individuals in this church to accomplish far more than any of us could do with our own wisdom and strength. It is truly exciting to be a part of what God is doing here!
What We Believe
New Horizon United Methodist Church is part of a global denomination that opens hearts, opens minds and opens doors through active engagement with our world.
A United Methodist is someone who puts faith and love into action. We believe that God loves all people, and that we share in expressing that love. So the United Methodist tradition emphasizes God’s grace and in serving others. We believe that Jesus Christ is the fullest expression of God’s love – showing us the fullness of God’s care through Jesus’ teachings, death and resurrection.
